Detalles técnicos
GalactiCrypter es una variedad de ransomware que utiliza AES-256 para cifrar los archivos de una víctima. Se distribuyó por primera vez en 2016 pero continúa en circulación en 2019.
Los archivos cifrados se anteponen con la siguiente cadena de caracteres: "ENCx45cR". El ransomware indica a las víctimas que paguen 0.2 Bitcoin si desean recibir un código de descifrado, que restaurará el acceso a sus archivos cifrados. Bajo ninguna circunstancia debe pagar el rescate.
